Bayuvi Dupki - the real leader of Pirin's marble ridge - a spectacular trek! From the Yavorov lodge to the Koncheto shelter and back by a different route! :)
We gather at 7:00 a.m. at the Vassil Levski National Stadium and set off to the town of Razlog. Once we start the hike, our first stop is at the Yavorov lodge. We are immersed in the so-called Karst section of the Mountain. From the Yavorov lodge we hike to the Pogledets area where we enjoy spectacular views of the most majestic and sharp ridges in Pirin - the Koteshki Rid (the Cat's Ridge) and Sredonosa. This was Tsar Ferdinand's favourite spot. We have a hike in the Bayuvi Dupli - Dzhindzhiritsa reserve, the realm of marble peaks and Bosnian pine (Pinus heldreichii). We enjoy 360-degree panoramic views - the marble part of Pirin, Rila and Rodopi, etc. We spend the evening at the best lodge in Pirin - Yavorov!

One of the most exciting days in Pirin starts with a short hike in the forest (45 min). In one and a half hours we are at the emerald Suhodolsko lake, where we marvel at the reflections of the Stapalata and Kamenititsa peak in the water. We go up to Suhodolski pass to bow to the awe-inspiring marble ridge! Our real adventure starts here. Our main goal is to ascend the titanic Bayuvi Dupki peak! The peak is easy to reach, but the ridge is very narrow and evokes strong emotions and challenges! In winter this is the most difficult part of the Karst traverse. We are happy to be here in summer and admire the marble beauties, steep slopes and sharp edges! There is no danger for the hikers. We continue to the Koncheto shelter to have lunch there. The unforgettable panoramas of Vihren and the Koncheto ridge take our breath away. We are amazed at the razor-sharp ridges, too - Sredonosa and the Cat's Ridge. On our way back, we take a different trail - at the Kaminititsa pass we take a turn to the Kamenititsa valley. We reach the Yavorov lodge and in one hour we are at the minibus. A weekend to echo in our minds for ages!!!
