Two-day winter hike in the Rhodope Mountains in its most pristine and charming area - Mugla. Walk from the village of Gela via the Lednitsata chalet to Mugla and back. Visit to the beautiful cave Lednitsata.

Day 1

 As usual we meet up in front of the Vassil Levski Stadium in Sofia where we head off to Devin, Shiroka Laka and Gela. Our hike starts there. Snowshoeing is real fun and first-timers will have a great time. We arrive at the Lednitsata chalet after a 1.5-hour walk in the enchanting Rhodope forests. After a break we go to the Lednitsata cave in the afternoon, located some 30-40 min from the chalet. Our encounter with its ice stalactites and stalagmites in weird and untouched shapes is a real adventure. We spend the evening by the fireplace over a glass of wine. :)

Day 2

We get up early and head off to Mugla, one of the quaintest Rhodope villages nestling deep in the Perelik area of the Rhodopes. Having wandered in an hour and a half in the woods, we enjoy the Rhodope scenery painted in blue, white and green. What follows is a descent to Mugla which is a delight to the eye and soul! In the village we shall have a bite of patatnik (a local potato pie) and in the afternoon we go back. In winter, the village is cut off from the world which adds to the magic of our winter trip. :)

Price per person for groups of 8 or more people - BGN 105 (EUR 55). For groups of under 7 people - BGN 120 per person (EUR 65).

The price covers:

• A licensed mountain guide
• Mountain insurance
• Accomodation at Mugla village
• Transport from/to Sofia

The price doesn't covers:

• Meals on the way or in the lodge
• Snowshoe rental - EUR 9 (at the discretion of Alextrek) 

Reservation for participation and payment:

• To join the excursion, please fill in the Reservation Form, which you can find in the Main Menu. We will do our best to respond you at our earliest convenience!
• You can pay in cash or remit a bank transfer and we will issue to you a cash receipt or respectively an invoice according to VAT Law (art. 113 and art. 114)!

Important!

• In case of sudden change of the meteo conditions or other unforeseen situations, the guide may stop the group from the planned trek and to change the direction depending on the conditions. He proposes another trek, agreed with the tourists!
• In the case of dense fog or slippery terrain the guide may change the trek to ensure the health of the tourists!
• The treks are forbidden for tourists with heart diseases, problems with the legs and other dangerous contions for the mountains!
• If the group is more than 10 tourists there is a second guide, which doesn't change the price!
