Two-day hike near the Yavorov lodge, Pirin National park - Pogledets area, Suhodolski Preval and Albutin peak /2688m/

Day 1

An encounter with the giants of Pirin coupled with a cozy welcome at the best Pirin lodge promised. The winter hike in Suhodolski cirque starts on Saturday morning, 7 a.m., at the Vassil Levski National Stadium, from where we head off to the Razlog Valley. Two hours later at the crossroads for Pirin Golf we take a right turn to the mountains. Once we stop, we have a 1.5 h walk in the forest to the lodge. At around noon, the kindest of all lodge keepers will welcome us, we have lunch and in the afternoon we go for a hike to the Pogledets area. As the Bulgarian name suggests, here we'll have a viewpoint to the weird shapes of Pirin's giants Sredonos and Koteshki Ridge, part of the Bayuvi Dupki-Dzhindzhiritsa reserve. Overflowing with emotions, we spend a cozy and hearty evening in the lodge over some wine; dancing and lots of smiles included!

Day 2

Sunday will treat us to even more awesome views! We start early in the morning when snow is still hard. As we go up, we pass by the Bunkera shelter; up we admire the majestic faces of Stapalata, Kamenititsa and Razlozhki Suhodol. From there we continue further up to the frozen Suhodolsko lake. We stop for a break there, have a snack and make final efforts to get to Suhodolski Preval. On the ridge, unforgettable panoramas are kept in stock for us - the highest peaks in Pirin are plain to see. We can see the Sinanishki ridge, Banderishki Chukar and Muratov peak, too. The enchanted Vlahina Valley is beneath us. Here we weigh the options for the rest of the day. An easier and more distant option is the Albutin peak and a shorter but more difficult alternative is the Razlozhki Suhodol peak. It is up to the guide to make a responsible decision. The views are out-of-this-world, especially from Albutin which is more scenic! In the afternoon we begin our descent to the lodge and the van.

Price per person for groups of 8 or more people - BGN 105 (EUR 55). For groups of under 7 people - BGN 120 per person (EUR 65).

The price covers:

• A licensed mountain guide
• Mountain insurance
• Guide services
• Accomodation at Yavorov lodge
• Transport from/to Sofia

The price doesn't covers:

• Meals on the way or in the lodge
• Snowshoe rental - EUR 9 (at the discretion of Alextrek) 

Reservation for participation and payment:

• To join the excursion, please fill in the Reservation Form, which you can find in the Main Menu. We will do our best to respond you at our earliest convenience!
• You can pay in cash or remit a bank transfer and we will issue to you a cash receipt or respectively an invoice according to VAT Law (art. 113 and art. 114)!

Important!

• In case of sudden change of the meteo conditions or other unforeseen situations, the guide may stop the group from the planned trek and to change the direction depending on the conditions. He proposes another trek, agreed with the tourists!
• In the case of dense fog or slippery terrain the guide may change the trek to ensure the health of the tourists!
• The treks are forbidden for tourists with heart diseases, problems with the legs and other dangerous contions for the mountains!
• If the group is more than 10 tourists there is a second guide, which doesn't change the price!
